Malaysian Spicy Fried Chicken

This one is easy and delicious recipe. My family loved it.

7 chicken wings

4 shallots

2 cloves garlic

2 chilies

1 centimetre ginger

1 tablespoon curry powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

a handful of curry leaves

1 tablespoon corn flour

1 tablespoon salt

4 cups of vegetable oil for frying


1In a blender, blitz shallots, garlic, chilies and ginger into a chunky spice paste (not pulp).

2In a bowl, add chicken wings, spice paste, curry leaves, curry powder, turmeric powder, corn flour and salt. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

3In a wok add oil and fry chicken for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
